Instructions for the A147 Video Conference equipment

Power on the system:
When not in a call, the system will go into sleep mode after 3 minutes. It does not need to be powered off after each use. Use the Polycom remote to wake the system.
The system will stay in a call for 8 hours
Press the green call button on the remote, or touch the power sensor on the unit
The indicator light will blink blue, and “Initializing hardware” will appear on the front of the unit. It takes about two and a half minutes to boot up.
Use the Sharp remote to power on the three TVs. They should automatically display the Polycom and camera view. The input should be set to HDMI 1. When facing the TV screen, the power button is top button on the left side panel.
The TV on the wall near the door is the main display. Polycom’s menu options will be visible. Check that the volume on this TV is set appropriately. The TVs in the corners will not have any sound.
Place a call:
Using the Polycom remote, press the green call button
Using the navigation controls on the remote, highlight “contacts” at the top
Choose a location by highlighting it, and press the green call button
To hang up, press the red end a call button
You can also type the IP address of the far site from the home screen
Send content (computer screen) to the far site:
While in a call, press the display menu screen button on the remote
Choose Content
Choose Camera 3
The sound will be played through the TV and the Epson projector
Adjust the Epson speakers based on preference
To return to the camera view, press the display menu screen button on the remote
Choose Content
Choose stop Camera 3
To place a multipoint call (add a 3rd site):
While in a call with one site, press the green call button
Using the navigation controls on the remote, highlight “contacts” at the top
Choose a location by highlighting it, and press the green call button
To hang up, press the red end a call button
Press hang up under active participants to disconnect completely, or choose which site to disconnect from
Controlling cameras:
While in a call, press the display menu screen button on the remote and choose camera
Choose near cameras or far cameras to pan/tilt or zoom
Press the home button to return to the call
When not in a call, select camera from the home screen
Camera presets:
To save a preset
Press and hold a number on the remote
To view saved presets
While in a call, press the display menu screen button on the remote. Choose camera. Choose presets.
When not in call, choose cameras from the display menu screen button on the home screen. Choose presets.
Saved presets will be visible. If no preset was saved, the image above the number will be blank. To change a preset, overwrite it. It cannot be deleted.
Change presets during a call by pressing the number of the preset on the remote.
To mute the microphone:
Press the mute button on the remote. To unmute, press the button again. You can also mute and unmute by pressing the display menu screen button on the remote and select mute or unmute
To Shutdown the system:
Press and hold the end a call button, or touch the power sensor on the RealPresence 700 until the indicator light blinks yellow.
Use the Sharp remote to power off the TVs
